Coleman Anderson, O.D.

Dr. Anderson was raised in Honeyville, Box Elder County, Utah. After graduating from Box Elder High, he served an LDS mission to Buenos Aires, Argentina. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Weber State University, then moved the family to Michigan for optometry school, receiving the US Army’s scholarship. Graduating with Distinction, Dr. Anderson immediately entered Active Duty as a Captain. Based out of Fort Hood, TX, he served his country for three years, including a tour in Iraq. Dr. Anderson has practiced optometry in a number of different settings, including ophthalmology clinics, optometry clinics, a VA Hospital, an optometry school, a US Army post and a combat zone.

Dr. Anderson’s family includes wife Amanda and two children, Dawson and Whitney. Dr. Anderson has been active as a volunteer in community sports, church organizations and Scouting. He enjoys snowmobiling, woodworking, landscaping and any and all sports and outdoor activities. He speaks Spanish and enjoys opportunities to use it.

Dr. Anderson practices general optometry including eye exams, treating eye diseases and infections and fitting contact lenses.

Michael Tucker, O.D.

Dr. Tucker was born and raised right here in the beautiful valley of Pocatello. He graduated from ‘Poky’ and then went on to Idaho State University. He loved competing in track and cross-country from grade school on up to the collegiate level. Taking two years off at ISU, he served a mission to Bahia Blanca, Argentina. Upon his return he found the girl of his dreams on a blind date and soon they were married. Then he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, graduating with National Spanish honors as well as the Scholar Athlete Award for having the highest GPA among all graduating ISU athletes. He then went on to professional school at Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA. On his rotations, he received advanced training in the treatment and diagnosis of eye diseases such as age related macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and hypertensive retinopathy at the Salt Lake Veterans Hospital. He gained co-management experience at Hoopes Vision of Draper, Utah with emphasis in LASIK, PRK, Cataract, and Corneal surgeries. He also had additional experience in Low Vision, Contact Lenses, and Pediatrics. He most enjoyed his rotation at a group private practice seeing established patients and being their primary eye care provider. He looks forward to bringing his skill set home to Alameda Vision Center and caring for the vision needs of the people of Southeast Idaho.

Dr. Tucker’s wife, Rachelle, is also from Pocatello and they are happy to be back in the area and a part of our community. Their four children, Makenzie, Ethan, Miles, and Owen are their greatest delight. They enjoy spending time together as a family especially around a lake or campfire! Dr. Tucker is still an avid runner and loves boating, playing sports, speaking Spanish and being among our amazing mountains for all sorts of outdoor adventure.

Ryan Johnson, O.D.

Dr. Johnson grew up In St. Anthony, Idaho.  After serving a 2-year mission to Melbourne Australia, he graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology.  He attended  Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon.  He moved to Pocatello in 1999 to complete a preceptorship with IHS in Fort Hall.  He has worked in Pocatello since graduating from Optometry school in 2000, working most of that time with a local ophthalmologist until 2021.  He enjoys all aspects of optometry and is skilled in ocular disease, specialty contact lens fitting, and surgical co-management.  He is excited to be working at Alameda Vision Center.

Dr. Johnson loves spending time with his wife, his four sons, daughter-in-law, and grandson.  His favorite activities include camping, backpacking, fishing, cooking, and traveling to new places.
